Web site slowly creaks back to life

It's been neglected since January, and as of this writing, it's been replaced with a hokey "Under Construction" page.

But rest assured, the Independent Register Web site, www.indieregister.com, will be back online with a new look and a complete archive of the newspaper's nine print editions.

I've been planning the Web relaunch for about two months and, after attempts to learn Macromedia Dreamweaver and Microsoft FrontPage on the fly (that evil paperclip from Office makes a startling return), I finally decided to seek professional help.

And that's no euphemism for therapy. Someone who actually knows what she's doing is bringing my PageMaker designs to life and uploading them to the Internet.

So, if you're visiting this page again to see if we'd resurfaced, please check back soon.
